Recently, sponsored by the Organizing Committee of the National Undergraduate Mechanical Innovation Design Competition and the Teaching Steering Committee of the Mechanical Basic Course of the Ministry of Education, the national finals of the 10th National College Students' Mechanical Innovation Design Competition with the theme of Nature Harmony came to an end in Shenzhen.
Our school has won 2 national second prizes and 1 third prize, ranking 63rd in the country and 2nd among the 8 universities that have won awards in the province. Among them, the “Integrated Machine for Automatic Cutting and Quantitative Fertilization and Burial of Vegetation Seedlings in Sandy Areas” designed and produced by Mr. Niu Dexue and 5 students including Zhang Guishan, and the “Multiple Machines” designed and produced by Niu Dexue and Li Hongwei and 5 students including Sang Chen Functional Grass Checker Sand Barrier Laying Vehicle won the second prize at the national level; the Automatic Shell Embankment Beach Wetland Restoration Machine designed and produced by five students including Xing Jin and Huang Aiqin and Gong Xiuquan won the third prize at the national level .
The National College Student Mechanical Innovation Design Competition is a college student subject competition supported by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance for students in colleges and universities in China. It is held every two years. It is one of the college student competitions with the most significant effect on ability and comprehensive quality. Since its official launch in March 2021, the competition has attracted a total of 5,415 teams from 704 colleges and universities across the country, involving more than 100,000 students. The outstanding innovation ability, solid professional knowledge and good spirit of the students at our school have been well received by the judges of the competition.
