During the study and implementation of the Theme Education of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, in order to further improve the level of the student work and learn from the beneficial experience and practices of the sister universities, the director of the Student Affairs Office had led a delegation to visit Shandong Youth University, Shandong Jiaotong University and Shandong Normal University located in Ji’nan City of Shandong Province for investigation and research on student work from May 25 to May 26.
The directors of the student affairs offices of the three universities warmly received the delegation. At the symposiums, they introduced the development of student work closely around the school’s student work system and mechanism, work measures and unique experiences and practices. The attendees shared and exchanged ideas on ideological and political education, student apartment management, “one-stop” student community construction, mental health education, political instructor team construction, class cadre team construction, armed national defense, student daily affairs management and services, student work information system construction and graduate education management service models. The director of the Student Affairs office of Binzhou University introduced the progress of student work and highly praised the unique practices and achievements of student work of the three universities.
After the symposium, the delegation visited the student apartments (“one-stop” student communities) of the three universities, the counseling center for student mental health education and the Communist Party Manifesto theme exhibition hall, and so on.
This investigation broadened the horizons and thinking of the student work. Student Affairs Office will form a comprehensive investigation and research report, combining it with the actual situation of the student work of Binzhou University, adhere to problem orientation, pay attention to work methods, transform the results of this investigation and learning into specific measures to solve practical problems, gradually improve the overall level of student work, and promote the development of student work to a new level.
