On the morning of February 23, Deputy Party Secretary and President Li Weinian, Deputy Party Secretary Yin Meiying, Members of the Party Committee and Vice Presidents Guo Xinwei and Liu Baomin led heads from various functional departments including the Office, Student Affairs Office, Academic Affairs Office, Logistics Management Office, Security Department to conduct comprehensive security inspections for laboratory security, fire control security, overall campus security, food and drinking water security, gas security and guard management in the laboratories of the School of Biological and Environmental Engineering, No. 8 and 9 public teaching buildings, school cafeteria,North gate, No.15 apartment building, in order to effectively establish a robust security system, ensure the utmost safety and stability of the campus, and guarantee a secure, organized, and smooth commencement of the spring semester in 2024.
Li Weilian emphasized the paramount importance of safety, highlighting that it should not be taken lightly. He stressed that responsibility weighs heavier than Taishan and thus demands our utmost attention. It is imperative to strengthen our mindset regarding bottom line thinking and red line awareness, overcome any paralyzing thoughts or fluke psychology. We must firmly grasp the implementation of school security measures, resolutely preventing and containing any potential safety accidents. Our primary focus should be on safeguarding the well-being of both teachers and students, ensuring a secure and stable campus environment. It is necessary to speed up the upgrading progress of the school canteen, ensure the construction quality, complete the upgrading task on time and put it into operation, and constantly improve the quality and level of catering service, so that teachers and students can eat affordably, satisfied and assured, and further enhance the happiness and sense of gain of teachers and students. It is necessary to actively and steadily do a good job in education and teaching, hidden danger investigation, improvement comprehensive in public security and other work, and effectively build a security framework to ensure a safe, stable and orderly opening of the school.
