On the morning of March 19, Binzhou Municipal Party Secretary Song Yongxiang, accompanied by Ding Feng, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Secretary-General, visited our school to supervise food safety work. He emphasized the need to deeply study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important remarks on food safety work, take more effective measures to ensure the implementation of school food safety work, strictly control the source, ensure safety throughout the entire chain, and fully protect the “safety on the tip of the tongue” of teachers and students. The school’s Party Secretary Li Changhai, Deputy Party Secretary and President Li Weinian, and Party committee member and Vice President Liu Baomin accompanied the supervision.

At the Boxiangyuan Restaurant, Song Yongxiang conducted an on-site inspection of the storage of food ingredients, food processing, and food sample testing, and carefully learned about the school’ fulfillment of food safety responsibilities and the implementation of the mechanism of  “daily control, weekly inspection, monthly scheduling”.

Song Yongxiang pointed out that food safety is of utmost importance. Schools, as gathering places for people, require particular attention to food safety. It is essential to firmly hold onto the safety bottom line, strengthen the food safety responsibilities of all parties involved, improve the  food safety work mechanism “daily control, weekly inspection, monthly scheduling”, ensure the responsibility of personnel in their positions, and guarantee the food safety of teachers and students. It is crucial to control the source, strengthen process control and quality monitoring, standardize operational procedures, enhance training management, ensure the safety of the entire food processing chain and prevent potential hazards. The relevant departments should provide strong guidance and supervision for food safety work, ensuring strict adherence to requirements throughout the entire process. Li Changhai emphasized the importance of food safety for the health and well-being of teachers and students, as well as for maintaining a smooth educational environment in schools. In the next step, the school must enhance its awareness, strictly fulfill food safety management responsibilities, rigorously implement the requirements of “daily control, weekly inspection, monthly scheduling”. It is essential to strengthen full-cycle management with traceable sources, controllable processes, and traceable destinations. The school should strengthen food safety publicity and training, continuously promote intelligent supervision, closely monitor key links such as food procurement, food processing, safety and quality control and sales pricing in student canteens throughout the entire process, enhance food safety risk prevention and control capabilities, and create a reassuring and comfortable campus dining environment for teachers and students.
