On December 18, Prof. Li Maozhen, a PhD supervisor at Brunel University in the United Kingdom and an expert on the Thousand-Talents Project from Shanghai, came to visit and study in our school. Li Changhai, member of the CPC Committee and Vice President, warmly welcomed the guests in Meeting Room 201, South Tower of the office building.
Li Changhai expressed his warm welcome for the arrival of Li Maozhen and introduced the basic situation of the school from the aspects of school orientation, top-level design and school characteristics. He hoped that Li Maochen would combine his work practice and research fields to exert his own advantages and actively recommend outstanding talents of related majors so as to help our university to transform and develop with its own characteristics. Li Maochen spoke highly of the achievements made by our school and offered guiding opinions and suggestions on professional construction and personnel training.
During the inspection, Li Maochen visited the Innovation Laboratory of the School of Electrical Engineering of our school; held discussions and exchanges with teachers of the School of Electrical Engineering, gave detailed explanations and guidance on the research design of scientific research projects and the reporting skills of scientific research projects and made a report titled High Performance Computing in Big Data Analysis of Smart Grids, which described in depth the development prospects and trends of data analysis and computation, big data analysis and parallel computing in smart grids, and conducted discussions with teachers and students.
