Wang Weidong from Shengli Oilfield Engineering Technology Institute was Invited to Attend the Academic Report

On June 15th, Professor Wang Weidong, professor-level senior engineer of Shengli Oilfield Engineering Technology Research Institute, was invited to the school and gave an academic report titled “Applied Research on Petroleum Microbial Technology” for the teachers and students of the school in the Ecological Center conference room.
        In the report, Wang Weidong started with the technical problems existing in traditional oil extraction and introduced the techniques of microbiological oil recovery in tertiary oil recovery and its application in oil extraction in Shengli Oilfield, focusing on the stimulation of microbiological single wells, microbial antiseptic waxes, and microbial flooding. Microbial plugging technology and other aspects are elaborated. The report is rich in content and informative, and both the interpretation of scientific issues and the analysis of practical problems in industrial development have benefited our teachers and students. In the report, Wang Weidong also provided guidance on the application of the National Natural Science Fund project in this field.
        More than 30 teachers and students from the College of Biological and Environmental Engineering attended the report and interacted with experts.
