Recently, Education Department of Shandong Province released the winner list of the 9th Shandong College Students Science and Technology Innovation Contest. Totally 9 projects of our university were awarded after the processes of school’s recommendation, network evaluation and online finals, including one first prize, five second prizes and three third prizes which hit a new record.
VTOL Power System and Overall Design of student Zang Xiaochen instructed by Mr. Zhang Tongren and Mr. Ma Wenlai of Aviation School was awarded the first prize. The projects of the second prize included Windproof and Sand Fixation - Multi-functional Self-propelled Grass Checkered Sand Barrier Laying Vehicle of student Sang Chen and Automatic Cuttings of Vegetation Seedlings in Desertified Area, Quantitative Fertilization and Burial Machine of student Zhang Guishan instructed by Mr. Niu Dexue of School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Comprehensive and Efficient Silage Baler with Multi-stage Conveyor and Rope Winding System of student Yuan Shankuo instructed by Mr. Wang Guoming of School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Preparation and Product Development of Water-soluble Murine Chitosan of student Yang Jie instructed by Mr. Li Jianqing in Dean’s Office and Mrs. Mei Zengxia in School of Biological and Environmental Engineering, Development and Application of Big Data Public Opinion Monitoring System of student Lu Mengxuan instructed by Mrs. Xu Ying of the Admission and Employment Office and Li Jianlei of the School of Information Engineering. One-step Releaser - Innovator of Nucleic Acid Extraction Technology of student Zhang Yixuan instructed by Mr. Zhao Wangfeng of School of Biological and Environmental Engineering and Mrs. Liu Hongyan of the Dean’s Office was awarded the third prize.
Hosted by Education Department of Shandong Province and Shandong Agricultural University, the contest was held online with the participation of 439000 students of 227000 projects from 145 universities, in which more than 4000 projects were coming from our university. In the recent years, our university persists in the integration of classes and contests as well as the combination of profession and innovation. The quality and level of our projects have been improved a lot because of the emphasis on the organization and application of this contest, training, instruction, revision and argument. Therefore, the scientific and technological innovation spirit as well as the entrepreneurial practice ability of our university students have been improved so as to make great contributions for the cultivation of application-oriented talent.
