From April 16th to 17th, Ms. Veronica Geraldine LYNCH, Vice President of University of the Highlands and Islands, had visited Binzhou University with a delegation of seven people.
Li Changhai, Secretary of the Party Committee of Binzhou University, and Guo Xinwei, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President, greeted all the guests warmly in Lixue Lecture Hall. The Directors of International Exchange and Cooperation office, Aeronautical Engineering Department and Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Department, as well as relevant personnel, attended the meeting.
Li Changhai warmly welcomed the arrival of the delegation and gave an introduction to Binzhou University from such aspects as the history, characteristics, construction of disciplines and specialties, faculty development, talent cultivation and international exchange and cooperation. He hoped that both sides will seize the development opportunities, carry out high-level exchanges and cooperation and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
Veronica Geraldine LYNCH gave an introduction to University of the Highlands and Islands from such aspects as school-running status, advantageous majors and disciplines, etc., and hoped that both sides will implement the cooperation project as soon as possible to achieve mutual benefit and common development.
The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on the joint establishment of Sino- foreign cooperative school running institutions and other matters, made cooperative curriculum docking for the three majors of aircraft power engineering, electronic information engineering and mechanical design and manufacturing and automation, and signed a memorandum of friendly cooperation.
After the meeting, the delegation from University of the Highlands and Islands visited flight simulation laboratory, air traffic management laboratory, CCAR-147 civil aircraft maintenance training center and other teaching and experimental training platforms of Binzhou University.
