Recently, the awarding ceremony of “Honorary Citizen of Shandong Province” and “Ambassador of Friendship of Shandong Province” of the year of 2023 was held in Jinan. Provincial leaders such as Lin Wu, Secretary of Shandong Provincial Party Committee of the CPC, and Zhou Naixiang, Deputy Secretary of Shandong Provincial Party Committee of the CPC and Governor of Shandong Province, etc. attended the ceremony. Roland, the foreign teacher of Binzhou University, was invited to participate in the ceremony and was awarded the title of“Ambassador of Friendship of Shandong Province” . It is reported that the title of “Ambassador of Friendship of Shandong Province” is established by The Shandong People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. It is awarded to foreign friends who have long maintained friendship with China, actively promoted exchanges and cooperation between Shandong Province and countries around the world, played a crucial role in the friendly exchanges and cooperation between Shandong Province and people around the world, and have a high reputation or influence in Shandong and their own country. This year, a total of 42 foreign friends were awarded this honorary title.
