On the morning of May 30th, a delegation of four teachers from University of the Highlands and Islands, our friendly partner, visited Shandong University of Aeronautics for exchanges. The delegation was led by Professor Veronica Geraldine Lynch, vice president of UHI. The forum was held in the Lecture Hall of Li Xue, and Guo Xinwei, member of the Party Committee and vice president of SDUA, participated in the entire exchange forum.
Guo Xinwei warmly welcomed vice president Veronica Geraldine Lynch and her delegation. He briefly introduced the new changes of SDUA’s development over the past year and fully affirmed the pragmatic and efficient cooperation between the two universities. He hoped that this visit and exchange would serve as an opportunity to further deepen and expand cooperation between the two universities and accelerate the implementation and effectiveness of cooperative projects. Veronica Geraldine Lynch congratulated our university on its renaming as SDAU, expressed her amazement at its development and changes over the past year, and expressed the willingness to strengthen and deepen exchanges and cooperation with our university. She also hoped that both parties would cooperate sincerely and make every effort to promote the early implementation of cooperative educational projects between the two universities. During the exchange forum, both parties conducted open, sincere and efficient discussions on specific cooperative projects such as joint education, faculty exchanges, student exchanges and collaborative research, and reached a package of cooperative consensus. Representatives from both parties signed a discussion memorandum for negotiation.
The heads and relevant teachers from International Exchange and Cooperation Office, College of Aeronautics Engineering, College of Electrical Engineering attended the forum.
The delegation also had discussions and exchanges with students of College of Electrical Engineering.
