On the morning of June 26th, the Student Affairs Department (Division) held the first “Face-to-Face Communication with School Leaders” event and the special tea party for graduates on the third floor of the Qiyuan Dining Hall on the campus. Li Weinian, the Deputy of Party Committee and President of the school, Liu Baomin, the member of the Party Committee and Vice President of the school, and heads of the School Office, Academic Affairs Office, Logistics Management Office, Student Affairs Department (Division), Admissions and Employment Office, and the Youth League Committee, with 35 representatives of the 2024 graduates, who had registered through the “Face-to-Face Communication with School Leaders” recruitment notice, gathered together to discuss teacher-student friendships.
Li Weinian had a warm exchange with the graduates at the tea party, congratulating them on behalf of the school for completing their studies and wishing the 2024 graduates a bright future and a more splendid chapter in life. Li Weinian encouraged the graduates to take on responsibilities, strive for excellence, and expressed his earnest hopes for them: First, he hoped that students could insist on learning, continuously increasing the depth of their lives, making learning an intrinsic need and a state of life, and strive to grow into innovative, composite and skilled talents; Second, he hoped that students could be good at thinking, often reflect on themselves, and strive to expand the depth of their lives, accumulating strength over time and bursting into action, and strive to grow into high-quality professional talents; Third, he hoped that students could enrich their lives, fully experience the warmth of life, and in future life learn to be grateful for every warm memory of the years, become a person who understands, knows how to live and loves life and live at a comfortable pace, making themselves a beautiful sight.
Liu Baomin pointed out that graduation is not an end, but a new starting point in life. The students’ participation in this “Face-to-Face Communication with School Leaders” event at the time of graduation will leave a deep impression on their lives. Over the past four years, the school has been working hard with the students, obtaining the authorization for a master’s degree program and successfully changing its name, which are the achievements of the concerted efforts and perseverance of the entire faculty and students. He hoped that students should also set goals, plan their lives and strive to achieve their life ideals through hard work.
The graduate representatives at the tea party introduced their growth journeys at the school from aspects such as postgraduate studies, employment, enlistment, and volunteer service, expressing their gratitude to their alma mater and teachers, and actively making suggestions for the development of the school.
In gratitude for the school’s cultivation and care, Liu Jiale, a graduate of the Art College, presented an oil painting titled “Flying Apsaras to the school, wishing the alma mater’s educational career to thrive.
The heads of departments such as the Logistics Management Office, Academic Affairs Office, Student Affairs Department (Division), Youth League Committee, School Office and Admissions and Employment Office responded to the development strategies proposed by the graduates, expressing their willingness to actively incorporate the good suggestions and provide even better services for students, while wishing the graduates greater achievements in their new stages of life.
A the tea party, Li Weining and Liu Baomin presented the graduates with custom-made souvenirs—briefcases and umbrellas, as well as free meal vouchers for graduates, expressing the alma mater’s care and blessings for the graduates, and together with the graduates attending the symposium they cut a graduation cake symbolic of sweetness and blessings.
After the tea party, the school leaders and the participating graduate representatives took a group photo together, capturing a beautiful moment.
