August 26th was the first day of the new semester. The school leaders attended the classrooms to listen to lessons without prior notice, with the purpose of comprehensively understanding the teaching operation and service guarantee in the new semester.
The school leaders went deep into the classrooms and earnestly listened to lessons of courses such as “Fundamentals of Marxism”“Digital Electronic Technology” “Literary Criticism Writing” “Physical Education Statistics and Measurement Evaluation” “Airport Safety Management” “Air Traffic Management” “Air Navigation”. The teachers were well-prepared for their lessons, and the courses or cases they taught were rich, logical and rigorous or humorous. After class, the school leaders communicated with the teachers about curriculum construction, teaching preparation and students’ learning, etc. They had cordial conversations with the students to understand the students’ learning preparations, learning gains and living guarantee situation at the beginning of the semester.
During the communication with teachers and students, Li Weinian, the deputy secretary of the Party committee and the president of the university, fully affirmed the full teaching enthusiasm and good learning state of the teachers and students, as well as the effective teaching guarantee of various teaching units and relevant functional departments at the beginning of the semester. He emphasized that we should further deepen the concept of students-centeredness, continuously promote the reform of classroom teaching around the students’ development and learning gains, create high-level classrooms, and continuously improve the quality of personnel training.
On the first day of the new semester, there were 533 class sessions in our school, involving 28,016 teachers and students. With the joint efforts of the whole school, the teaching work of the school is stable and orderly, and the classroom teaching order is in good order, showing a fine look of the new semester .
