On the afternoon of August 29th, a delegation led by Hu Yanlong, the head of the Military Affairs Department of Binhai District, came to the school to inspect and investigate the work of conscription. Liu Baomin, a member of the Party committee, deputy president and director of the Department of Students’ Work (Armed Forces) of the school, attended the investigation and research activities.
Liu Baomin extended a warm welcome to the delegation led by Hu Yanlong and expressed his gratitude to the Military Affairs Department of Binhai District for its long-term support to the school in such work as college students’ enlistment in the army and national defense education. He briefly introduced the school-running history, characteristics, achievements in recent years and the basic situation and typical practices of the work of college students’ enlistment in the army and the preliminary recruitment and storage of soldiers in the school.
Hu Yanlong fully affirmed the conscription work of the school. He hoped that in the future, both sides would further strengthen the exchanges and cooperation between the local military affairs department and the school, jointly do a good job in the work of college students’ enlistment in the army and the preliminary recruitment and storage of soldiers, and send high-quality, technical and professional talents to the army.
After the discussion and exchange, accompanied by Liu Baomin, Hu Yanlong and his delegation visited the Flying College in person, and the two sides had in-depth exchanges on how to better play the role of civil aviation in supporting national defense and military construction.
In the next step, the military affairs department of the school will, on the basis of the existing work, further innovate the working ideas, actively explore the new model of the preliminary recruitment and storage of soldiers, and accurately send high-quality soldiers to the army.
